Calcium Orotate is a premier calcium supplement for the discriminating consumer. Calcium orotate is a mineral transporter where calcium is bound to orotic acid, a natural component of whey. Calcium orotate penetrates the entire cellular membrane and delivers the calcium to the INTRACELLULAR structures (mitochondria, and other organelles). This compound is attracted to bone, cartilage, liver, brain and the circulatory system where the molecule can enter the cells of these tissues releasing calcium inside the cell avoiding the hypercalcemia common to other calcium supplements.
